Gutter Clearance in Solihull

On this recent gutter clearance project in Solihull, the customer contacted us after noticing a persistent issue with their guttering system. Every time it rained, they could hear water spilling over the edges of the gutter rather than draining properly—an early sign of a blockage, most likely in the downpipe.

Upon inspection, it was immediately clear that the system was completely overwhelmed. The gutters were filled to the brim with a thick layer of green moss and other organic debris that had built up over time. The downpipe itself was totally blocked, leaving nowhere for the rainwater to go except over the sides.

As shown in the picture, the extent of the blockage was significant. We carefully removed all the debris, ensuring the full length of the gutter and downpipe was cleared and flowing correctly.

Once the system was cleaned out, water could once again run freely from the roof, through the guttering, down the pipe, and safely into the drain—just as it should.
